    I didn't stay here myself, but went to the apartments to check them out for a tourist to Perth. I was extremely impressed with staff, the style, cleanliness and situation of the Saville. When I asked at reception to view one of the suites, the girl contacted the manager who personally showed me through.

    Saville has 152 one and two bedroom suites. The location is great, only about 7-10 minutes' walk from the city centre and the CBD.

    Other local attractions include; Swan River - 5mins walk, Sporting Stadium (WACA) - 5mins walk, His Majesty's Theatre - 20mins walk, The Museum and Art Gallery - about 15mins walk, Airport - 15mins by car (approx. $A25)

    There is a restaurant within the complex, so you have a choice of self-catering, room service or going to the restaurant.

    There is a free CAT (Central Area Transit) bus stop about 40 metres away, along with supermarket, liquor store, chemist, florist, restaurants etc.

    There are many features at the Saville, including;

    24hour reception, Foreign exchange desk, Concierge, Multilingual staff, Express check-out

    SunDancer Backpackers Hostel is located in the heart of Fremantle. One of Perths most popular hostels, becuase of its location in the alternative/hippie town Fremantle (freo).

    First and for most, there is a bar! Thats always my first question. The doors are open 24hrs, and the hostel offers a full kitchen, 24 hour reception, outdoor heated spa, licensed bar, bike hire, car parking, internet, BBQ, lounging areas, laundry facilities, pool tables & arcade machines.

    Rates are cheap, ranging from 16-20 dollars for dorm shares. Private rooms, and en-suites are also available starting from 50 dollars. Linen and towels are included with all rates.

    Overall SunDancers is a great place for any backpacker looking for a exciting place to stay in Perth, in one of its most laid back areas. For more on the hostel, click on the following link SunDancers

    This 4 star hotel is very nice for people who want to be in on the action but not too close to the city. It is about a 20min drive to the city, though why would you want to go when there is so much happening in Freo. This hotel is close to pubs, clubs, restaurants, shops and the markets. It really is a good choice if you don't have a car. The hotel itself is what you would expect from a 4 star hotel (and maybe a little more). The rooms and bathrooms are of a good size and very clean. Some have views of the pool or of the marina. This hotel is great to stay at in summer as there are two pools and 3 jacuzzi's (all heated) and a bar right next to both.
    I don't think that I would choose to eat in the hotel when there are much nicer and cheaper place a few metres away.

    The pools and spa's are great in summer and winter. Both are warm enough to visit all year round.

    We stayed for a night at Rydges Perth in Hay street and found it very comfortable. A yummy hot breakfast was included in the price. It is very close to the shopping mall and transport and the Swan river is not far. Highly recommended.

  • The outside of this 4 star hotel may put you off at first, but don't let it fool you.
    This four star hotel earns all 4 of it's stars in the places that count. The rooms are of a good size as are the bathrooms and both are very clean. Some have views over looking Northbridge, the place to be on a Friday and Saturday night.
    The buffet breakfast in the hotel is very good and the staff are all polite and efficient.
    The location of this hotel, so close to the clubs and restaurants of northbridge, is one of it's plusses.

    This is a great, cheap 4 star hotel in Perth that has all the facilities of a 4 star without the price.

    Sullivans Hotel has all the advantages of being close to the city yet it is right next to Kings Park and the Botanic Gardens.

    It's a ten minute walk to Perth's CBD or you can catch the free Blue Cat bus service which stops just outside the hotel entrance.

    The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and offers free guest bicycles so you can explore the city and Kings Park at leisure.

    The beauty of staying at Sullivans Hotel is that when you have tickets for "An Evening On The Green", you can basically walk up the road to "Jacob's Ladder" and make your way up to Kings Park for the concert.

    But coming back down the "ladder" can be a bit of a challenge if you've had a few too many of your favourite bevvies!

  • For a shared dorm for a week it is $16 a night which includes a continental breakfast. Within walking distance of the Perth Glory soccor teams homeground, the nightlife of Northbridge and shopping of the city centre.

    Next door to a language centre who are able to help you with the English language.

    Swimming pool and outdoor area on grounds, pool table and other fun activities, a clean and fun environment.

    The Emperor's Crown is a very comfortable and clean hostel not far from CBD.
    The rooms are quite large and the beds are comfy. The hostel has a nice longe area with computers, a well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.

    Definitely would stay here again!

    We arrived quite late in the afternoon as the flight from Kuala Lumpur was delayed due to technical problems. We supposed to depart at 0940 hours but we only departed from KLIA at 1100 hours.

    Since the hotel check-in time in Perth is 1400 hours onwards, we didnt worry so much!

    Checking-in was smoothly done. I booked the hotel through the web and it cost us AUD90 with no breakfast. Except for the room size - pretty small to our liking - all others are OK.

    Basic toileteries are provided. Tea making facilities are available. A 20" TV on a small cabinet which also housed the ice box.

    The staff is helpful and friendly too.

    At the corner of Pier street, the location is superb as it is closed to shopping area as well as dining places. Its also within the "Perth City Walk" area

    Across the street is the Miss Maud restaurant. On the other side of the street is Curtin university which is next to the hospital.

    For Muslims, Halal restaurants is just around the corner about 50m and 100m from the hotel.
