Good For Couples
We stayed here for two nights and no regrets as location of hotel is exactly as advertised - Perth City Centre. Ideally located, minutes from the main shopping areas, Barrack Jetty for ferries, and decent food options nearby. The train / bus station is also within easy walking distance.
A normal city hotel
Holiday Inn City Center is a typical city hotel. A little bit worn, but it's location is absolutely best as everything is very near (pedestrian streets, railway station, ferry etc.).
Unique Quality: Holiday Inn City Centre Perth is surrounded by shops, boutiques, banks, duty free store, cafes, theatres, galleries, cinemas and just a short stroll will take you to the Central Business District or Perth's colourful restaurant and nightlife district. The hotel is the ideal place to stay for any visit to this beautiful city.
4 star luxury right in the city centre
We have stayed here twice and very much enjoyed it both times.
The rooms are pleasantly decorated, fairly large, with comfortable queen size beds, air-con, large en-suite with bath as well as shower. Lots of extras were provided, toiletries, toweling robes to walk to the pool, internet access, foxtel TV, mini-bar, tea making facilities, hair dryer, iron, safe, choice of pillows.
Room sevice available.
Staff are prompt, friendly and efficient, everything was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, lots of mirrors.
Our room, (on the top floor) had a view north over the city. Rooms on the front look over the street to sky-scrapers opposite.
Price $160au per night per double room.
$11.50au per night valet parking (secure basement carpark)
Unique Quality: Heated swimming pool in the basement. made to look like a Roman baths with mirrored walls so it looks enormous.
For $15au extra we had the full buffet breakfast, as much as you want, very high quality food including:- fresh sliced tropical fruits, peach compote, birchler meusli, yoghurt, breakfast cereals, many different types of breads, rolls, croissants, pastries, muffins toast and preserves.
On the hot stand, American style bacon, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, big fat chicken and herb sausage, and an 'egg chef' to cook eggs as you like them.
There were many different types of teas and coffees (Including cappuchino) and a juicer for mixing your own blends.
At the front of the hotel is a licensed coffee shop/snack bar, with tables on the pavement, popular with the office workers from the skyscapers at lunchtime.
On the opposite side of the street there are several other small cafes including a Shushi Bar and a Jesters Pie shop.
Directions: One minute's walk west from the Hay Sreet mall
