Good hotel centrally located

A fine stay on a hotel centrally located in Perth.

Unique Quality: Close to retaurants and shopping. Walking distance to to bars and clubs. Several tourist information centres nearby, but they close quite early.
Walking distance to Rottnest Island terminal. Train station nearby. Easy access to Fremantle beaches by train. Cottesloe Beach can also be reach by train. It is about 600 metre walk from the train station to the beach. It is free bus service from he train station to the beach in the weekends (also on weekdays according to a tourist information centre)

Just scrap through as average

The hotel is located in the central location in Perth. however being in the CBD parking is a major major pain.

The hotel has made arrangement with a with Wilson Car Park (Just around the back) however its only for overnight parking ($12.00 during Christmas 2007). Other time you pay for every time you leave the car park. Do yourself a favour and save yourself some hassle and get a hotel in the suburb it will also give you more freedom (thats if you have a car)

The room is small for a hotel located in the central business district, however for the money that is being charged it probably better to stay outside the city unless you have a reason that requires you to be so centrally located. Also very peculiar was the TV channels available only free to air TV (6 channels).

The hotel is a preferred supplier for the company I work for so the rates I got was the corporate and I still felt I could have gotten a better deal.

Unique Quality: Very central Hays St and King St and Mall are all a stone throw away.
Lots of Pubs around this area.

Great location!

On Aussieroses advice, we stayed here for a few days before the meeting. It wasnt the flashest hotel, but was in a great location in the middle of the CBD.
The rooms were fairly small, but everything you needed was there. The staff were very helpful. My husband was rather ill, and they were great in telling me where a close doctor was and got an ambulance for me very quickly..I am glad to say, that he recovered fully and was able to have fun for the meet!!!

Value-for-money 3 1/2 star hotel

My 6-day stay stay in Hotel Ibis was overall a pleasant one. If you're looking for value-for-money accomodation with no frills, this is it!

You may want to note that booking direct with the hotel may not be the cheapest way. In fact, i surfed the net and booked through one of the agencies which gives me better value. Firstly, the rate is a few bucks cheaper per night. And more importantly, it gives me free airport transfer which saves me about AUD30-40 per trip. That already makes a gross savings of about AUD80.

It's located at 334 Murray Street Perth WA and it's really a 5-min walks to the heart of Perth City where the shopping belt is. And it's also convenient to catch the free CAT bus from the hotel which is a stone's throw away from the hotel.

Unique Quality: As it's a no-frills hotel, so no bathtubs, hotel room shoes and bathrobes are not available. But the general facilities are good enough if you're looking for a comfy place to stay though not luxurious.

There's television, AM/FM radio clock (which also serves as my alarm for morning calls), air-con, tea/coffee, hairdryer, iron & board, mini fridge. There's no safe deposit box in the room but it's available at the receiptionist. There's also internet service at the corner of the lobby. The rates is about AUD3 for 30mins surfing and AUD4 for 1 hour surfing - comparable to one of the internet cafes further down the road.

Cheap & comfortable right in Perth

Ibis Hotels are everywhere in Australia. They offer cheap accommodation but are quite comfortable & worth a look. The Ibis Hotel in Perth is in a very good position right in the heart of Perth. Hubby & I decided to stay one night to make sure it was ok for my fellow vt'ers :o) Although the rooms are quite small, we found it to be good for the price and I can therefore recommend it for your stay in Perth. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel Ibis

Hotel Ibis is a fairly cheap (in city terms) hotel right in the centre of Perth. It's an easy walk to the shopping malls, food courts, Northbridge where a heap of restaurants are or the free CAT buses.

Unique Quality: They have heaps of rooms and all have the usual basics like hairdrier, TV, air-conditioning/heating, iron etc. They also have a 24 hour reception, restaurant, currency exchange, internet service, laundry etc.

Best BUdget deal in Perth

Hotel Ibis, located in the heart of perth city. It's really to find your way through by just asking around.People who work in the city would know the location! When my parents are in Perth for a visit, that;s where they stay.Prompt service. All major credit cards accepted.Nice ambience, air conditioned adjustable. The best is, located right in the city itself.Usually hotels in city are really expensive where it ranges from 100++ per night.

Unique Quality: IT;s a budget hotel!plus u can have a budget breakfast meal in the cafe at the lobby.

We stayed at the Ibis.

We stayed at the Ibis. Just 100 meters from Murray street Mall. A really nice simple and clean Hotel with lots of information on things to do during your stay in Perth. Not really expensive, but not cheap either, so if you are on a budget you'd better go for something cheaper. Something which shouldn't be a problem in Australia. There are many cheap motels in the land of the backpackers
