A cold place

Our first evening and night in Australia was in Perth. The Mercure hotel is in it self a good place to stay, but the reception and the bar looks like a factory. A empty and white room. The girl in the bar was new. She was very friendly. After a long trip from Schiphol it was nice to try an Australian beer and then quickly to bed.

Unique Quality: Impossible to go by stairs. You have to use the elevator to go up or down. The stairs are only for emergency or staff. Stupid!!!

Swim on the top Perth

I had the chance to enjoy a great stay in an Aussie family during my English school.

At the end I just stay a few days in this place before heading to the North. I like to stay in Accor hotel brand (Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Sofitel,...) due to their excellent service and standards. So no surprise when you sleep there...

Unique Quality: The hotel location in the city center, 400m from The Perth Mint or 2km from Kings Park. Anyway it easy to going around by foot or the free bus CityCat.

A heated rooftop pool offer you a great view on Perth when relaxing. Spa, sauna and fitness center complete our wellness.

To drink/eat, you will find inhouse a restaurant, two bars and one cafe. Or go outside as everything is close to the hotel.

Has a great restaurant

The hotel has free underground parking which is great for Perth and though the outside of the building doesn't look like much, the inside is quite beautiful.
The staff are polite and efficient and the hotel often has deals on that include buffet breakfast with the price of a room.
The rooms are are a bit small by my standards, though they are clean and the beds are comfy.
The hotel is not situated on a main road (just off it), so you cannot hear the noise of the traffic. The pool is great, on the top of the hotel with a great view. They also have an indoors jacuzzi that can fit the whole family.

Unique Quality: The restaurant serves great food at decent prices. We had dinner on our first night here and would certainly recommend that you try the prawns. Yummy.
