Christmas Day

by celtic10

Hi
Know it's short notice but can anyone suggest anywhere in or around Perth that might still have vacancies for Christmas day breakfast lunch or dinner - nice but not to over the top pricewise if possible. Alternatively maybe boxing day.Wishing all a great Christmas and a safe, happy and healthy New Year.

Try Miss Mauds in Murray Street central Perth. Price should be reasonable.

Possibly the Casino could be taking bookings for their Carvers buffet, I know during December they have a Christmas theme.

It's been a while since I was in Perth but I was there over the Christmas / New Year period and I recall the Brass Monkey Hotel in Northbridge was popular, you might try there.

Here is a lonk

Hope this assists,

Kings Park - a park which is just 5 minutes from the CBD. Great views of the city and hills.
As I was born in Perth and still live here I often go to this park just for a break. The beaches and the weather

The Beer Hunt continues...in Perth, Australia

by Cabana_Boy

Wherever you go, whatever you do, sampling the local beer is definite must.

What do the locals drink, what beer is most popular, which beer is hardest to find, does it come in a half pint glass just like grandma used to drink…or better still, a full pint glass like I drink??? These are all good questions that need to be answered...

In Perth, give me a Middy anytime… I absolutely fell in love with Carlton Mid-strength while in Perth. I discovered time and time again, that this is a great lunch beer. Knock back a few of these for lunch and one can still put in a good afternoon at work. I also enjoyed the Victoria Bitter and sampled the Emu Bitter, Crown and Matilda Bay.

BELLS

Bells are didjeridus which are flared or tapered towards the bottom. They look great and usually result in better sound and/or easier playing. The selection currently online have bottom diameters between 120 and 150mm.

RSVP for Gallery Openings

by pinkbear

There are a number of art galleries in Perth that put on great opening nights (often including free wine and food). If you're planning a trip to Perth and want an inexpensive cultural experience, subscribe to their web sites before you leave your home country. Some good galleries include the following:
- Greenhill Galleries
- Goddard de Fiddes Galleries
- Holmes a Court Gallery (particularly good wine and food.
Just make sure to find their website and request that you be notified of any future openings before you come to Perth.
