Top Perth Youth Hostel
The witches hat is a simple youth hostel with basic cooking facilities, clean bathrooms but most importantly good communal area and a BBQ. There is a communal area outside- kinda like a beer garden... which is great for getting talking to other visitors and soaking up the weather. Good location, lovely management and a collection of dvds available to watch on big couches for the sundays that have taken their toll.
Not appropriate for those who are precious and do not like drinking and socialising. Close to good night life too, and short walk/bus to shopping. Management will recommend ways to get to the mandatory day trips to cottesloe (sit on the beach or in the pub and soak up the atmostpher), freemantle (little creatures + shopping) and rottness island (bike ride and photo taking)
