Right by the beach
I stayed in the deluxe beachfront apartment, with the only different to the other beachfront apartment being that it had a spa.
Kayaks are free to use at any time, as are reef shoes, snorkles and fins.
There were 2 beachfront units, and poolside and garden units (the gardens were still very close to the pool, but just not directly in front)
The only negative things I can say about this place is that there were no separate rooms within my unit - including the toilet. The only thing separating the toilet to the bed was a small step up, a blind that you could see through and about 3 metres.
There was also an ant problem and the odd cockroack and spider in the room and the cleaning prior to our enty could have been better.
Unique Quality: I loved the view - it looked right out to the water and to the right was Muri's most southern Motu, which has some of the best snorkling on the island.
There was a pool however I saw little reason to use it as we were right by the water's edge.
They also offer the option of daily maid service, or self service option if you wish to save a little money.
Within walking distance to 4 restaurants and 2 cafes.

The pride of Muri Beach
This is an ideal self catering accomodation, with breakfast fruit provided on arrival. There are wonderful duplex bungalows located right on and overlooking the Muri Lagoon. Rent a scooter from the reception desk after you have obtained a island driving permit ($10.00) from the police in Avarua. This will enable you to shop at the large supermarket in town or from the various small shops localy. There are two buses to take you into town. One is called "Clockwise" the other is called "Anticlockwise", depending on whether you want to take the long way or short way into town. No wonder that there was a Mutiny on the Bounty and Fletcher Christian and the crew wanted no more than to settle here.
One visit here and you will be counting the days until your next visit.
Unique Quality: It is quiet and so relaxing with those looking to get married there is a beatiful bridal bower set in a garden with a Lotus Pond. There are also family units away from the shore that surround a nice fresh water swimming pool fed with a cascading waterfall.
Above all the staff are so very friendly and accomodating, working very well as a team to ensure that you are very happy.
You will be met at the airport in traditional island fashion and taken to the reception at the Muri Beachcomber where you will be greeted with a nice cool refreshing drink before being taken to your accomodation

Romantic getaway
This small resort has a great location right on Muri Beach. The Seaview units are well equiped, and do not have any children until 12 years old allowed. Families can stay in the gardenview units however. Nice grounds, and there is a swimming pool for those who don't like the lovely lagoon at your doorstep.

Great Views and Setting
We stayed at the Muri Beach Resort on the South of the island.
It's a collection of beach bungalows, set in tropical gardens, most of which have sea views.
