My father and husband decided they wanted to try out the golf course which belonged to the hotel, while my mum and I go for a swim. Apart from a nice walk in the sunshine, I think they enjoyed their little round of golf, even though David ended up in the bunker a couple of times. Never mind.
We didn't spend a lot of time in Nadi as its very touristy. Good if you want to buy some presents to take home or some souvenirs. The town is full of people trying to sell you something, but at the end of the main street we found this temple which was a haven of peace.
"Taxis are Cheap"
If you don't mind the style and comfort in which you travel, flag down a local taxi. They wouldnt pass muster in New Zealand but do get you from A to B cheaply. For example if you book a taxi to go from the Sheraton to Nadi it will cost you $10 but if you flag down a local taxi from just outside the hotel it will cost you about 50c per person.
