We were relocated to this hotel near Nadi town. It was a newly decorated motel at that time.
Even more important it was a cement building that would withstand some strong winds.
We had a nice room overlooking the pool. It has a small balcony, two beds, priavte bath with shower.
The food was good and they did a wonderful job of feeding all the guests in spite of the fact that they had no running water or electricity.
Standard hotel with standard rooms. Two swimming pools, bar, restaurant etc. Not alot to do there though so i would recommend going to stay on one of the islands if you are going to be here more than 3 days. None.

Hi,
I'm spending at least 1 month in Fiji starting late April and am looking for an affordable room that I can rent for a couple of weeks.
Location is not as important as the price, and even very basic accomodation would do.
Does anyone know how and where I can find such a place? Where do I have to look (internet page etc)?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

not sure if this helps but i transited in nadi on the way to savu savu and stayed at West's Motor Inn. seemed low key and people were friendly. i'll do some checking around and see if i've got any other lodging info to pass along.

HAve a look at Safari Island Lodge, wwww.safarilodge.com.fj, it's a nice place on a beautiful island only 15 minutes by boats from the north of mainland. They have a dorm, which costs something like 25 or 30 dollars a night (can't remember very well) and they have a kitchen that you can use if you prefer to do your own cook.
The place is great and the island is a true paradise, i have been recommended it a lot since i went there!
