Where to stay in Tahiti
We are going to Tahiti in April. We are going on a 7-day cruise, but we'd like to stay for a couple extra days in Tahiti before the cruise. We are looking for a hotel that is full-service and nice. We would like to lay out at the pool and beach, go snorkeling and enjoy nightlife (at the hotel if possible and in Papeete). At this time we seem to be torn between the InterContinental Beachcomber Resort Tahiti and Le Meridien Tahiti. We'd like cheap/easy transportation to Papeete from the hotel. Please give me any suggestions you may have.
Also, how is the weather at the end of April?

hi,
I've been to the Meridien some months ago, and it is really beautiful! They have the greatest large swimming pool I've ever swam in. Also the best Maitais in all French Polynesia. To go to Papeete in the evening you need to get a taxi. The distance to the Beachcomber Resort is not far so it doesn't really make a difference. But I have not been to that hotel...
