I recently had the unique "unfortunate" experience of having to stay overnight on Guam due to weather at my intended landing location. This was not my first time on Guam, but it was memorable for the service and price of accomodation that I obtained this time. For the $85 that I spent for one nights stay there, it was excellent. I had just finished flying for 14 hours through bad weather and the customer service was awesome. From the time I arrived at the desk (about 12am) to arriving at my standard room (a suite in some other places I have stayed), only took 5 minutes with their express check-in. I was given a tower room on the 10th floor with balcony (with patio furniture) that looked out over the bay. The view was awesome.

I arrived at 12am and pre-ordered breakfast for the next morning. It arrived exactly as I wanted it at exactly the time I requested. I was able ot enjoy my breakfast in the privacy of my room and enjoy the beautiful beach view unhurried. The bathroom was very good sized and was equipped with whatever a sidetracked travelr could need that didn't want to unpack his/her bags. If there is even more that you need, the hotel has it's own convienence store on-site and ATM.

It offers you variety of marine activities... We saw a lot of family travelers. They can play all the day.
If you would like to stay in a tranquil resort, then this is not the place.
But if you are searching a hotel where you can play as if you were a child, then this is the right place!

If you go to Guam, I strongly recommend you to stay at a hotel along the beach. And reserve a room facing the ocean and if possible higher room. Then you will be able to enjoy the great scenery!!

There's a variety of hotels, the ones I know are located in Tumon one of my favorites is the Hyatt, the Hilton and the Westin

The Hyatt has one of the coolest pools around but you won't really needed when you have such a beautiful ocean right in front they also have a great sunday brunch. The Hilton has a great bar right in front of the ocean with live music several nights a week and great spa. And the Westin has very nice service Mandara Spa and a great ocean view. They all have great ocean views!!!

  • During my move to the U.S., my husband and I stayed at the Westin Resort. It was pure utopia!

The Westin Resort is fantastic! Not only are the suites decident, the grounds are paradise! Located right on the ocean, all suites have a fantastic view!

There's 2 swimming pools, one with your typical island bar, the other more secluded and with a waterfall. Romantic doesn't do the description justice!

There's also a spa located on the grounds, and trust me, I took every opportunity to spend time there! They offer many different spa packages, each one leaving you relaxed and up for siteseeing.

The resturants in the hotel are unbelievable! The food is as diverse as they are delicious.

  • Definitely the Tamuning Plaza Hotel.
    About $49 in US dollars

Can't beat the price! Great value with car rentals too. Nice, clean rooms with really friendly and helpful staff and management. Convenient location in Tamuning makes visits to Tumon and Agana and the beach real easy.

  • Our last few days on Guam we stayed at the Outrigger Hotel. We payed around $150US/ night but that was a military rate. Tourists rates are much higher. Like I said, shop around!

  • Theme: Hotel
  • Directions: I haven't seen any other type of accomodation on Guam but beware...the hotels cater moslty for Japanese tourists and some of their prices are absolutely ridiculous. Shop around.
