Fiesta Resort Guam: Nice Stay@Fiesta Resort Guam

by cchiuching

I stayed in a room with partial ocean view. Nice balcony. Washroom is spacious. Clean. Internet is in good speed though it is not broadband.
Breakfast is full of variety. Orange juice is good. Iced tea does not fit hongkonger' taste. We were a group of 10 and we all would never ordered iced tea again in Guam after 1st trial.
it is very comfortable sitting outside facing swimming pool having breakfast. Of course you can choose to stay inside with air-conditioning.
Staff is very friendly.

i heard Lady's Floor is great.

Hotel Okura: Nicest beach on Guam

by Greykuma

This hotel is at the north end of Tumon Bay. It has wonderful sunset views and the cleanest, best maintained, section of beach on the bay.

Carp (KOI) pond in the front entrance. Pool, Beach, Mountain and Ocean views.

Hilton Guam Resort and Spa: Accidental Tourist

by olddude

I recently had the unique "unfortunate" experience of having to stay overnight on Guam due to weather at my intended landing location. This was not my first time on Guam, but it was memorable for the service and price of accomodation that I obtained this time. For the $85 that I spent for one nights stay there, it was excellent. I had just finished flying for 14 hours through bad weather and the customer service was awesome. From the time I arrived at the desk (about 12am) to arriving at my standard room (a suite in some other places I have stayed), only took 5 minutes with their express check-in. I was given a tower room on the 10th floor with balcony (with patio furniture) that looked out over the bay. The view was awesome.

I arrived at 12am and pre-ordered breakfast for the next morning. It arrived exactly as I wanted it at exactly the time I requested. I was able ot enjoy my breakfast in the privacy of my room and enjoy the beautiful beach view unhurried. The bathroom was very good sized and was equipped with whatever a sidetracked travelr could need that didn't want to unpack his/her bags. If there is even more that you need, the hotel has it's own convienence store on-site and ATM.

Hotels here can be categorized into :: choosing a hotel

by bibas

1. resort hotels w/ swimming parks & activities built-in !
2. top-class hotels right ON the beach w/ magnificent view !
3. mediocre hotels towards the hills of Tumon from the beach .
4. bargain hotels located outside the main Tumon area .

now before all, U gotta be mature enough to realize U CANNOT have everything in life ! U have to compromise somewhere along the line :
A. if you're a family w/ children #1 is for U,
B. on your honeymoon ? mellow out at #2,
C. best bang for the buck is #3,
D. if you plan on renting a car go for budget #4 .
and as my site goes : we have to save money for Shopping, but don't want to wonder too far from ANY malls, so it's definitely #3 !

*the rate below is a normal Group Package

Tumon Bay Capital Hotel: Tumon Bay Capital Hotel

by thelittlevoice

I chose this hotel because...well it was the cheapest one. Though it doesn't make much difference from the second cheapest one if you get a single room. I didn't need any hotel next to the beach anyway. The room is clean. TV has so many channels though the only channel I watched was MTV. I love the breakfast too. You can choose between a set of bread, egg and ham or fried rice, egg and ham. Not too many stuff to choose but it wasn't so bad. The internet costed $5 an hour.

Located in the busy district of Tumon Bay, this property is adjacent to many of the best-loved attractions such as the Tarza Magical Adventure Zone and Water Park, Underwater World and Planet Hollywood, and is just a short walk to the beach. An economical choice, it offers a great value for its price with a multi-lingual staff, private balconies with bay views and rooms decorated in soft peach and blues. Its restaurant serves Asian cuisine throughout the day. There is a swimming pool and lounge onsite.

Royal Orchid: Good bargain

by tedandtina

We stayed at the Royal Orchid for 4 days and would like to recommend it.

The gym had Nautilus equipment, and it was very new. The pool was round and nice for kids. There is no lifeguard, but with proper supervision, it was just fine for our kids. The service was great.

The rooms were large, we had a corner room with a separate sitting area. Also, the bathrooms were marble and separate shower and bath. A walk in closet made it even nicer.

Restaurants- Tony Romas and Capriciosa.
Convenient but a bit pricey. Tony Romas had $9.99 lunches and Capriciosas 12.99 and 7.95 childrens meals.

Not on the beach, but nearby public beach.

For us, the large room and pool were enough.

resort style on the beach: Guam's best deals

by bmiller39

The island has a tourist section which is almost exclusively Japanese..The hotels are the standard resort style and most have packages for the japanese tourists..the area of the island is known as Tumon.
Unfortunately, the hotels have lots of pricing structure. So use anything you can to bargain. Guam residents who have a drivers license get the best deals...
Best hotel is the Hilton and the Pacific Island beach hotel is also great The Royal Orchard is trying to get business back and offers really good rates. you can get the Holiday inn for about 79.00 a night and almost all hotels have weekend specials with free breakfast buffets etc included.

The hilton is the best as they have a fantastic restaurant called the Islander..the Chef is from France (alscae-lorraine) region and there is a nightly international theme..French night is the best. Other restaurants include Roy's from Hawaii, and the Tree Bar restaurant outside with shows etc..about 45.00 a person...
