great Apt Hotel in the City Center of Christchurch/NZ, never stayed here, but imagine its a great accommodation for the whole Family or Couple. have a look at the webpage provided.
its new, looks nice and close to the Center. cafes at the doorsteps and lovely shops as well. the Tram runs by, click on the pic
Fine accomodations. Good beds, very quiet and nicely appointed. Excellent location - easy walk to Rundle Mall shops/restaurants and 1 block to the free bus that circles the main business area. Decor is very "moderne", warm and tasteful. Prices were very inexpensive for the quality when I stayed there (Feb.05).
I have spent many happy times at this resort although I am yet to sleep there. Over the years I have had many meals and attended quite a few seminars, conferences and meetings here.
Just recently, while it was too hot to dine on the deck (see website photo - overlooking pool), a couple of vters and myself had a most delightful lunch and Ian and I each had a sweet to drool over for weeks.
The resort reception is huge and overlooks and magnificent fountain area that leads to the restaurant and bistro downstairs -- and overlooking a fantastic pool.
Kingfisher Motel is sort of unpretentious and located right at the entrence of Merimbula when arriving on Princes Highway from Sydney. It is not near the wonderful beaches they have there, but it offers low budget accomodation with a certain extra: Baron, the owner, offered us family room located under the usual rooms for about 60 AUD a night and we could feed all the birds of the area ......... plus our direct neighbour was a possum that he and his wife took care of as a baby ......... and when sitting on the balcony in the evening with a glass of wine we had the most beautiful sunset ever ..........
Beautiful birds, great sunset-views and a very nice and helpful pair of owners. Once again: it is a very nice and clean low budget accomodation!!
Now if you want to stay in a quiet tiny out of the way country pub then this would be it.
I live just up the street so don't forget to call in for a coffee and say hello.
Old fashion accommondation and no traffic or pollution here , but it can get hot , and the only views are that of the surrounding farm lands and only 40 People live in the town and you are lucky to see 5 in any one time.

Genuinely a true spirited South African hospitality.
Gold Reef City ha been described as the most extraordinary and unique casino and theme park complex in the world. Being situated within the main casino building at Gold Reef City there is always plenty to do when staying at Gold Reef City Hotel. Apart from the main Casino with blackjack, roulette, and a selection of 'machines' ,there is also a salon prive and several excellent restaurants including the Three Ships Restaurant.
sandwiched between the beach and a beautiful Estuary, breedingground for many Bird's like the Paradise Duck, the Heron, Kingfisher and may others.
the Campground is in peak condition, with a Tenniscourt, Kids Playground, Tree climbing and the many walks around the Estuary or Mountain biking
it's quiet and the Accommodation ..Hutt's can be rented are clean and have selfserving function.
the Beach is 500m away, a Golfcourse around 1 1/2km easy drive...Clubs and Baggy can be rented for US$ 10.- Greenfee US$ 10.- too for 18th holes, Golf Link, meaning: by the sea...Rawehiti, the place of the rising sun, is the Name of the Golfcourse
the freedom of camping and specially in a Campervan is great in both Countries. but once or twice we checked in at the many Camping Huts in Aus, comes with basic facilities..it was always the shower we where after
when using a Campground in Aus or NZL, you can expect great facilities, often very scenic surroundings, great hospitality and good managment. but where ever we could, we camped in the great outdoors, but where always very aware how to behave....leaving only our footprints behind.
For me, camping is one of my favorite accommodations. A great dome tent, self inflating air mattresses, thick fluffy sleepingbag and pillows, small metho cooking stove and picnic basket, and I feel almost the comfort of a motel (at much much less the price, and with much nicer surroundings!)
Waking up and opening the tent and seeing the view out over a small lake, or the colourful desert sands of a northern camping spot.
Being awakened at dawn by the calling of small birds and seeing tiny birds hopping around the tent as though nobody was there watching.
Getting away from civilization, even for a few days, and seeing new sights and new views on awakening each morning.
