Accomodation in and around Hienghéne

Hienghéne offers a surprisingly good range of accomodation, from Kanak-run campsites to a Club Med! With the exception of one smallish bungalow-style establishment opposite the tourist office in the centre of the town, all are on the beaches a few kms to the east.

Hotel Koulnoue Village - Club Med: The Antidote for Civilization!

Tucked away in the town of Hienghene is a Club Med village that's surrounded by a beautiful field of coconut trees on the sea.

You can choose from the Kanak style Melanesian huts, or your own traditional beach bungalow.

The resort offers everything Club Med is famous for: Sports activities such as golf, tennis, badminton, basketball.......even billiards and a fooz ball table indoors!

It's a smaller and more informal resort compared to other Club Med properties. You can partake in any of the outdoor activities they have to offer, or select a VHS movie (only in French!) from their library and stay indoors and away from the crowds!

The property is quite lovely and they offer lots of activities for kids if you decide to make it a family affair.

Just be weary of the deer that come roaming around at breakfast time! If "Bambi" gets hungry, she will invade your croissant basket!!
