Grand Chancellor Hobson St
Stayed at the Grand Chancellor over a weekend. Rooms are a pleasant size, with all the facilities that you would expect from Grand Chancellor brand.
Check-in and check-out were quick, and the front office staff are professional and courteous.
Being on a main road, I thought I would have trouble getting some sleep at night, but was surprised at how little traffic was heard (unless you open the doors to the balcony).
Food from the restauarant was good, and the restaurant staff go the extra distance to provide a good service.
Unique Quality: The location of the hotel is in the middle of the CBD in Auckland, and is a very short stroll from Auckland's Viaduct.
However, having to cross two arterial roads does have it's problems, fortunately, there is enough time to cross both due to the traffic control system.
