Kingsgate Hotel

This hotel is located in Greenlane which is only around 5kms from downtown Auckland. I think it was the logal Campbell Hotel when I stayed in it many moons ago. The hotel is very close to Cornwell Park. They provide 216 rooms with the premium king rooms facing the pool with deck access and views over Auckland. There is the Logals Bar and Lounge. They also have an outdoor heated pool and two private spas.

A very pleasant place

We arrive at the hotel at 7.45 in the morning, and not surprisingly, the rooms are not ready yet, but the hotel offers us complimentary tea and coffee while we wait. By 9.30 both couple have got our rooms.

The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the centre of town.

All the normal amenities of a hotel of this class, safety deposit, laundry, gift shop, mini bar, ironing facilities, hair dryer, heated outdoor pool.

Unique Quality: We discovered the secrets of a private (very private) spa pool in the basement - it's amazing what those little bubbles can do for you.....

The room has a "cigar box" full of speciality teas, coffees etc. Very unusual.
