Auckland pub to watch the netball?
by FergusG
Can anyone suggest some pubs in Auckland that would be showing Sky TV's coverage of the netball world championships?

I would bet that there is a place in Sky City Casino...or try along the 'America's Cup Village'. There are a few pubs along the waterfront there.
However, it has been awhile since I was there...so I am not completely sure.
Travel Tips for Auckland
Howick Golf Course
by keeweechic
This Golf Course has one heck of a view. Located on the Bucklands Beach Peninsular at Musick Point, there are sweeping views of the Hauraki Gulf from all around the course. The course also has a combination of narrow tree lined fairways and strategically designed short to medium length holes. Something for everyone.
Spring Blossom Valley
by keeweechic
Along the loop drive during Spring you will come across a patch of daffodils, flowering cherries and crab apple trees. This is quite a spectacular sight and best seen from July through to October.
Location : Botanic Gardens, Hill Road, Manurewa
Taking a bike through Auckland airport
by bicycle_girl
Auckland airport is the most friendly airport to assemble or disassemble your bike for transport overseas. It has 2 stands for bikes to make it easier to put your bike together for your trip. (It really helps when you have the right tools)
Dining out in Takapuna - my first choice.
by worldkiwi about Restaurant Aubergine.
Aubergine offers impressive food and good service. The restaurant is probably better described as providing Mediterranean cuisine, than just simply Italian. It is in the heart of Takapuna's restaurant strip on Hurstmere Road. I had a great meal there earlier this year and can thoroughly recommend it. Anything with olive oil, garlic, and herbs!
Sky Tower
by robertgaz
At 328 metres high, the Sky Tower is the tallest tower in the southern hemisphere with sensational 360 degree views around and below of Auckland.
You can easily spend hours exploring the different observation levels and when you need a break there's the Sky Lounge Restaurant where you can enjoy the wonderful views comfortably seated with a nice cuppa.
For the intrepid, there's the vertigo climb and the 192m Sky jump, which is by far New Zealand's highest bungy jump.
Admission prices are as follows -
Adults
Main Observation & Sky Deck $21.00
Main Observation $18.00
Child
5-14 years (Main Observation) $8.00
under 5 years FREE
Family
2 Adults + 2 Children $44.00
Additional Child $6.80
Students & Backpackers $15.00
