A Quiet Oasis of High Standard
The official name of this motel is not: Off Broadway Motel Auckland but Off Broadway Motel Newmarket. In a city as huge as Auckland it is helpful to know in which suburb a hotel or motel is. I do not see any inclination of VT staff to correct the reported wrong names.
Off Broadway Motel Newmarket
I absolutely like this motel in the Auckland suburb of Newmarket where I stayed only once but my husband several times. Well, it is more expensive than average but for luxury 4+ star suites and studios I think it is ok. The suites have spa baths.
I did not only like the high standard of the rooms (which have private balconies) but also the location, as Alpers Avenue is an absolutely quiet street close to the shopping strip of Broadway. You have to walk between 200 and 300 metres to the next bus stop from where you get to Downtown Auckland which is 4kms away. It is not too far away to walk to the Domain and Auckland Museum and Parnell. It is just a short stroll to Mount Eden Domain.
The complex features a gym and a BBQ area.
Large studio rooms come to $149, executive suites to $ 210, small studios just to $115.
