Luggage Storage

Bank of New Zealand building, Queen Street
by Xtian
Wow.. if you want a real "NZ in the 70s" cultural experience, look no further than the BNZ building on Queen Street in downtown Auckland. Take the elevator to almost the top, and walk two flights of stairs. The views of the harbour and Sky Tower are quite good. Watch out for some of the stains on the carpet as you walk around, some of them are gooey and slippery. Cost is NZ$4.
Sheep Dogs and Sheep Shearing
by keeweechic
You can see action sheepdog displays and sheep-shearing or even just see baby lambs being bottle fed. There is a one hour show about New Zealand’s sheep farming and wool industry. Donkey rides are available for the little ones (3 – 8yrs) around the paddock. The rides operate 12 – 4pm on the weekends (weather permitting).
Location : Sheepworld Farm & Nature Park
Get to the Train on Time!
by ATXtraveler
Auckland has done alot to serve the residents and tourists of New Zealand by rennovating the central station for buses, trains and connections to ferries. A multi-million dollar project transformed the Britomart Place station. $204 million to be specific... that is a large investment in public transportation!
Although we were not able to go in (the station closes at 10pm), you will definitely be able to get all over Auckland, much less the rest of the North Island. For more information on stations and schedules, check out the Britomart webpage.
Starbucks in Parnell
by kiwi about Starbucks Coffee
I don’t plan to include every Starbucks Café on my pages, but every now and then a special one is worth a mention. This Starbucks is situated in the popular Parnell Village shops. Not too far from central Auckland, easy to get to.
Parnell is on the LINK bus route, so that makes things easy.
I just like sitting on the outdoor tables, watching the interesting people walk in and past. The atmosphere is of happy, interesting people.
