Good Motel - Shame about the receptionist
After meeting lots of friendly Kiwis here in NZ, we met the receptionist of the Midway Motel. Thought we had arrived at the Bates Hotel in Psycho. An absolute rude and condescending woman, (may well have been the owners wife). Definitely needs a course in customer services. But apart from her the units were clean and well serviced. in a good position near to Woolworths supermarket -don't get too excited about the indoor pool though!

Reasonable prices
I found Midway to be pleasant and all I needed. The owners were fabulous and so very keen to please their visitors.
Unique Quality: Not right by the water, but I could walk to the sea, also to the supermarket, although I wouldn't want to carry too much shopping home up the hill.
Very close to the Sunday market, and the bus stops just out the front.
Skytv. Heated indoor pool and spa.
