Good walking shoes. And a coat for possible and fast weather changes. Plenty of spare film, although you can buy on the island. Lip cream and sun protection.
Insect repellent, as in summer the mudflats have lots of insects.
When I felt burned out from being on the go in tourism business on Maui for 13 years I needed a new place to live where I could rest and re-invent myself. After about 16 hours on Waiheke I felt intuitively that it was where I needed to move for this change
Waiheke houses come in all shapes and sizes. The range is wide and varied, here are a couple showing diversity in design. Some holiday homes are more functional and in need of some attention, others are opulent and over catered, but whatever, most people are happy with their homes on the island.
This is a real classic kiwi bach. With the add ons, and the boat, and the lawn...... very typical.
