Cosy Corner Holiday Park: Cosy and new cabins

Excellent! Great value and cabins were in almost as new condition, with new hotplates and brand new looking utensils and glass plates & bowls - everything you'd need for several days say, even a separate bedroom from the living & dining area....and all this we only paid $75 the first night, including linen hire, and $60 the 2 other nights midweek, off peak.

Best accommodation of our whole trip! (even more comfy than some of the motels)

Feels like staying in a unit or apartment, but with no ensuite (we chose not to have one)

Unique Quality: The pool is brilliant! Too bad it was too cool to go in.

Mount Maunganui Domain Motor Camp: Awesome Location for camping

Unique Quality: Now this place has to be one in a million. Where else can you find a campground right on one of the most popular beaches in the country. Right beside highrise and all the "action", including the cafe scene, this is really a treasure. The Surfclub is situated adjacent to the camp, and everything is walking distance for the campers, including shopping. The camp is also next to the lovely salt water hot pools which are very picturesque at night, being openair. It also extends to both ocean beach and harbour beach and is beside the boat ramp for the harbour.
Although very heavily booked during summer vacation months of Nov - Mar, the camp is readily accessible during the off-season , and still a lovely place to stay. Where else can you stay next to million dollar apartments for just $35NZD!

Unknown name, at the foot of the volcano.: Good Holiday Park

We rented an RV and stayed in Holiday Parks all along the North Island. In Mount Maunganui we stayed at the foot of the volcano which was right on the beach. Very comfortable and clean. Had all facilites, showers, toilets, laundry and dish washing sinks.

Simply step out, and soak up the famous Mount atmosphere. A beautiful ocean beach, a serene harbour, an exciting choice of restaurants, hot saltwater pools... they're all right on your doorstep!
There's a lovely, scenic stroll around the landmark Mauao, and a breathtaking panorama from the summit.
