Zorbing = utter craziness
by david1982
Zorbing didn't seem amazing upon the first sight, however, once inside the mobile washing machine, rolling down a hill while frantically trying to stay upright and failing within seconds, it seemed like the best thing ever!
There were various types of Zorb you could do, I did the Zig-Zag HydroZorb, you have to jump in up the top and attempt to stay standing up for the full duration.
Of course this does not occur and you end up soaked and all over the shop but its a great laugh. A must if you're in Rotorua.
Burried Village
by didgeridorien
This was a Maori village that was famous for its White and Pink Terraces. A volcanic explosion burried the whole village, but they are excavating it now. On the way over to the Burried Village from Rotorua, you'll pass the Blue and Green Lakes, a monster lives in one of them according to the stories. The Burried Village is interesting, the guides are nice, but they could make more of it than it is now.
Kiwi House
by Imbi
If you are lucky than you could experience of the lifetime by watching a Kiwi bird right in front of you. The kiwi house has(I think) two kiwis but the problem is that most of the time this bird stays somewhere in the corner and only lucky people could see them walking around or doing something.

Te Wairoa Stream and Falls
by allikat
After wandering through the remains of the buried village, take the path along the beautiful Te Wairoa stream and watch the wild rainbow trout hovering in the currents. This short walk (maybe half an hour or so) is easy walking through lush native bush with lots of good photo opportunities, including a beautiful waterfall - the Te Wairoa Falls- and lots of places to stop and enjoy the surroundings.
