Fenton Court Motel Rotorua

Very rude, I think racist to asian ethnicity!!! Sign say vacany, I ring and say room for 5 many and he say no hung up on me, my friend rang next day and he say same thing, i have my kiwi mate call,and he say yes how many? my friend say 5 many and he say yes and offer discount!!! You not stay there unless you kiwi aye??? So rude, kiwi supposed to be friendly, this man racist ***

This was a very nice motel of the Best Western chain closer to the thermal wonderlands than to the city centre. We would rather drive than walk to the restaurants.

Like nearly everywhere in Rotorua you get the rotten-egg smell of the hot sulphur springs in the room if you do not keep the windows shut when the wind blows from certain directions ;-)

The room of this 4 star motel was nice, large and quiet although the motel is located on the main street but the units are set well back off the road. All units come with private spa bath or even pool ($10 dearer than with only bath).

The only annoying thing was that our breakfast did not arrive at the desired time, not even close to that. So we were sitting and waiting and losing precious time, and when calling in at the reception the very friendly owners apologised whole-heartedly and said that unfortunately everybody wanted breakfast at the same time.

So now we go out for breakfast most times or prepare it ourselves, so we can plan our time better.

The rates (as March 2007) are from NZ$110 (studio with spa bath) to NZ$175 (two-bedroom unit with spa pool), higher in the peak season.

Unique Quality: On Fenton Street (main street) between Holland and Tilsey Streets, opposite Leisure World and Fenton Park.
