Good stay in Paihia

Stayed 3 nights in early Jan 07. Small motel with Everything spotlessly clean. Good facilities. Good sized room (standard studio) with balcony. Quiet at night, even though it was just off the highway. Lovely views over part of the bay area. Shaded back patio with BBQs etc. Spa pool available. Andrew and Barbara very helpful and friendly hosts. Not right in the centre of town, but reasonably easy walk (1km?) Even had DVD player in room and Andrew had a well stocked library of DVDs to choose from - though we didn't get around to watching any! Only small criticism was that there was a shampoo/soap dispenser in the shower - would have preferred the 'proper stuff'.
It was reasonably priced (@$NZ130- p/r p/n) considering we were there in the very high season - and comparing with other accom prices in the area.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
