Hidden resort
Nestled on the edge of the Waitangi River with spectacular views of the Haruru Falls The resort is one of the most tranquil and naturally beautiful settings in the Bay of Islands.
Unique Quality: Situated on the river front opposite the Haruru Falls. Lovely views, good rooms, great restaurant. There is a pool although we did not use it.

Staying out of Paihia
There are plenty of large and small motels/hotels right in Paihia itself. We stayed just out of the township of Paihia at a wonderful area known as Haruru Falls (only about 5 mins drive from Paihia town). The view from our room ( The Falls Motor Inn ) was great. There were a few other motels next to us with a local pub where you could get meals also. Paihia is full of motels, most of them having very good views of the bay. There are plenty of camping grounds as well (including where we stayed).
