1 minute walk from the centre of Paihia
We had no hesitation in booking into this Motel after my navigator had checked out the very comfortable unit. It was quite spacious - fully self contained with cooking hob, microwave and fridge. There was a lounge area with eastern balcony. All the usual amenities were provided: heating, electric blankets, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
As well as that Sky TV, DVD, Gas BBQ, Indoor Private Spa Pool, laundry Facilities, undercover parking, free Internet access in the office & free In Room Wireless broadband internet were all available.
A variety of unit types to suit larger groups and families are available.
We used the free tour desk facility to book a cruises to the hole in the rock and to seek dolphins.
Unique Quality: The standard of service was high. Cleanliness, comfort and noise level all spot on.
We enjoyed having no need to drive in Paihia except to the Waitangi Grounds as the Swiss Chalet Motel is close to everything we needed.
Room rate was what we expect to pay for the style of accommodation. NZ$110/per night.
