We booked the stay at Paihia at Aucklands great i-site. (Thank you, Ashley!) First we wanted to stay at Pipi Patch but it was fully booked. We did not know the Mousetrap but it was the best tip we get! At our arrival we quickly knew that this is our place! Jake has been so friendly, the rooms and the atmosphere is calm and homelike. With the help of Jake we directly booked Dolphin Swimming and Fishing.
At the Mousetrap you have to stay calm at 11 pm. This is a good idea, because as Jake says "Noise you have enough from the other side of the street." So, if you want want to make party all night long, stay at the "prison-like" Pipi Patch. If you want to have a great time, meet friendly people and if you want to sleep, stay at Mousetrap!
We had unbelievable great five days at Paihia and we would like to recommend this realy nice backpacker to everyone!
Unique Quality: This is a Backpacker for everyone! We met older people travelling alone, families with children and people at our age (35 and up).
The rooms and the lounges are very clean and homely. And no one can beat the view to the sea from the balcony. Except the friendlyness of Nikki and Jake!
Unique Quality: Flair place. It feels like flatting with heaps of cool people from all over the world. Arranged like small flats where about three or four rooms belong to one kitchen and a comfy living room. It rocks!!!
Directions: The address will be given to you fellow travellers as soon as i get access to my addressbook.
