Lake Taupo is an active volcano, yes it still smoulders but has not erupted for some time. The town of Taupo is on the lake shore.

Taupo is a big holiday destination and tourist spot in New Zealand and rightly so.

The weather here is crisp shall I say. but nice.

There is much to do and see.
