Hamilton is a considerably sized city south of Auckland, on the way to Rotorua.

Unfortunately we didn't have much free time, if we were to make our destination by evening, or we would have spent more time here exploring, as the river was so pretty, many interesting buildings and shops in the town, and it seemed to have a nice atmosphere about it.
