The city has the mighty Waikato River, which means it must have bridges. There are several within the inner city, and it's nice to take a drive over them. My favourite bridge is the Fairfield Bridge at the North end of town. Here it is at night, attractively lit up. Believe it or not there are motorcycle tyre marks over the top of the bridge arches, can you believe some daredevil has done that????

Hired a car and drove up to Hamilton for lunch and then on to Waitomo Caves. It wa pissing down. Went for a tour of the caves where a ranger explained about the history of the cave and had a boat ride out of the cave. It was beautiful. All the are really pretty and green in this country.
