Convenient location: about 10 mins walk to city center;
Great room equipment: Stayed in the large two-storey room in perfect condition with very well equiped kitchen and bathroom. High quality showering devices, TV (with satelite channels) and practically everything you need;
Friendly service: Jeff's been really helpful. Should meet him yourself~
Definitely a top pick in Christchurch!
This was our first port of call in New Zealand and the help from the owner gave us a great start for a holiday in an unknown area. Jeff did everything to make our stay a very positive experience. All our requests were met willingly and his advice on travel each day made our stay in Christchurch one that we will always remember positively. Our room was clean and well maintained. The motel was close to all amenities - an easy walk into the city centre.
We arrived late, hungry ,a little tired and irritated and probably not at our most posotive after a fairly average week skiing Mt Hutt (Mt Shutt, closed 4 days out of 7) Within minutes Jeff and Naomi had us checked in, settled in and booked in for dinner at a nearby restaraunt they recommended.
Every request was met with a yes, from a late checkout (not pre organised), to leaving our bags to be looked after after checkout while we had a shop in Town before our flight. The restaraunt they recommended was fantastic and the only complaint we have is that on arrival Naomi had just finished dinner (terryaki chicken apparently) and they had none left!
These two really seem to enjoy hosting guests and made us feel truly welcome. A pleasure after some of our recent experiences.
We stayed at CenterPoint on Columbo at the beginning of our trip. Jeff and Naomi were extremely accommodating and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and the motel is only a short stroll from Cathedral Square.
We were so impressed with the place we stayed there for another two nights at the end of our trip.
I would not hesitate to recommend CenterPoint to anyone looking for accommodation in Christchurch, and we will be back again.
I would, and have, recommend CentrePoint to others. We stayed in a one bedroom unit, which was spotless. Jeff and Naomi were full of useful information and tips of where to go for restaurants. The location is good, only a short walk from cathedral square. Would not hesitate to stay again.
I stayed at the CentrePoint on Colombo for a couple of nights whilst in Christchurch. I was very impressed with the room and the proximity to the city centre. I found the hosts/owners very friendly and helpful really making me feel welcome. I would happily stay here again and won't need to look around for other choices if I return to Christchurch.
It was such a pleasure to stay here! We had a fantastic time and were so happy with the location. It was a VERY short walk to the Casino where we had a great night!
The rooms were huge and i considering there were 9 of us travelling all together we were all looked after and were all very comfortable. I will be going back to NZ as often as I can and will now always be staying here!
My partner and I have stayed twice at this motel and have been very pleased with all aspects of it, the location is a loveley short stroll to everything,the staff and management helpfull welcoming and friendly in every way, the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable and so comfortable, we would recommend this motel to all who wish to stay in Christchurch, this motel has excelled all others we have stayed in.
The Centrepoint on columbo Motel wa ideal to stay in for us , we had the great cafes just down the road , a 5 minute walk to the centre of town and shops , etc. And Columbo St is so much quieter that Bealy Ave where we have stayed before . The two bedroomed motel was great. The children ( 3 and 9 yr old) had their own room and we had our room. The rooms were separated by a spacious dining/lounge area. It was so spacious we invited some friends of ours with their 3 children to dinner one night! Very friendly couple running the motel - provided us a portable cooking hob so we could cook the kids pasta whilst we ordered a Thai take-away. Was able to negotiate a very reasonable rate - off peak season and stayed for 3 nights.
