Hotel Ibis Christchurch

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on February 8, 2014

A 3 star economy hotel right in the geographic center of the town, next to city hall. In summer season the price for a double bed room goes up to NZ$188 a night including breakfast.

Room is pretty small, good for a stop over.

Unique Quality: City center location.

Directions: City center

Ibis

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on April 14, 2008

The Ibis is one of the newest in Christchurch built in June 2007 on land in front of the Telecom building in Hereford St. It has direct access to the Visitor Centre (when open) so a real snip when looking for holiday ideas. Being in Hereford st it is in the middle of town so close to restaurants and clubs when you want a night out and all of the shops when you want a bit of retail therapy.

The hotel has rates from $94 and all of the facilities you'd expect of a major chain hotel. It has 155 rooms with various set-ups and a nice bar area with outside seating situated on the 1st floor - views are over Hereford St so nothing to get too excited about.
