"Hanmer Springs"

Hanmer Springs was quick stop, have a look and off we go again. We left Kaikoura around lunchtime and needed to get to Hokitika. In all it took us about 8 hours or so as we stopped for plenty of pics along the way. Hanmer Springs is about a 90 minute drive from Christchurch and it's main attraction are the thermal pools & spa.

"Waiau River/Gorge"

The Waiau River and gorge near Hanmer Springs is home to Thrillseekers Canyon. Centre for activities such as bungee jumping, jet boating, rafting, paintballing and much more.

The view from the bridge at Waiau Canyon was great and a small storm blew in while we were there.
