Clearwater Motel Kaikoura

Staying in this motel was a real coincidence.I was driving up and down the sea front looking for a place to stay for a night and Hello! I heard someone shouting.Are you Malaysian was the first question.Here he was the owner of the motel who loves to entertain foreigners & we were offered a super price for a studio unit with cooking facilitie,TV etc etc etc.Terry the owner came chat to us and offer to take us fishing.He suggested to have a BBQ on the house for us that night and it was RICH!!!We have fish,lobster(Specialty of Kaikoura),sausages and the usual BBQ stuff-not to forget the abalone(kaikoura Speciaty).We cook some curry and rice to go with the BBQ & Terry just loved it.The night lasted until 1 am and Terry showed us the photos of his previous guest from all over the world and most of them is still in touch with him-so are we.
We stayed an additional night(of course special price)and left reluctantly after that.
Terry and our family had since become good friend and he visited Kuala Lumpurenroute to Bangkok for his wedding-Good on you Mate.

Unique Quality: The seaview is glorious.The units are big and fully equipped and super cleanWhat you cannot buy is the personal touch of the owner and the friendliness of the staff.

Directions: Get into Kaikoura Town from the highway and keep going straight along The Esplanade until you pass the town.Look on the right side for the motel,left side is the sea.YOU CAN"T MISS IT!
