White Morph Motor Inn

The White Morph have friendly staff that will tell you all about the hotel's name if you ask (hint: it's a bird). It's a motor inn... that means there's parking for your vehicle. It's right along the beach, perfect for a night stroll. You can also see sunset from the hotel if the window in your room faces West over the alps. There's a minibar with coffee & tea making facilities complete with cookies for the saucer! All rooms also get a little kitchen. Ironing facilities are also available and unless u really don't think there's anything else to do outside, u can stay in and watch Sky TV. It's got a laid back yet very comfortable feel. Downside is that the walls are a little thin and the floors a little hallow so you can hear folks walking up the stairs and closing their doors. It's not noisy, but you can hear it. I think people realise this and most will be considerate not to slam their doors and send shocks down the corridor. Everyone goes to Kaikoura for the whales, dolphins, seals and sea birds, so make sure you do all of that while you're there. I think all rooms come with twin dbl beds, but please check.
