Springfield Lodge: Cozy rooms with a cottage feel

Springfield Lodge is a family run place, with the proprietors living next door. Its a converted house with a large additional quarters off the back.

There are a couple of smaller double rooms and then one suite, all sharing a communal common room and kitchen. The wood decor and fire stove give it a bit of a cabin feeling while the views of the paddocks and sheep in the background let you know you have escaped the worries of the city.

There is a fully functional kitchen. There are standard and handicapped accessible bathrooms and showers.

There is a HD television with basic stations, but the office has a library of DVD's for you to choose from. The larger rooms even have a TV in the room.

Laundry and sauna are available, but were in repair when we visited.

Free WiFi is available upon request.

A: "Hey Charlotte, Not much in any of those towns. Except good Ice Creams!!!! Darfeild is well known in the tramping and Skiing communities for good Ice Creams at the store..."
