Titirangi Farm Park: Very remote

by didgeridorien

This is actually a sheep farm, so make sure you lock the gate when you come in. The campground is near Titirangi Bay, one of the best beaches around.

The facilities are minimal, bring your own toilet paper, gas and light. In return you get absolute peace.

The Vintners Retreat: The only place to be in Wine Capital

by wild.goose

The villa is HUGE! The view of the Marlborough vineyards is outstanding. In the mornings, the vineyard attracts heaps of little birds incl the native Pukeko. Hawks graze the top of vineyards looking to pluck out a warbler. The bird song in the day is fantastic and the mist over the foot of the mountains just beyond the vineyard is very delicious. Try to get a villa right along the vineyard. That's where the beat views are. The double story villa has 2 rooms on the top floor complete with chest of drawers and heated bed for winter. There's a beautiful bathroom on both ground and top floor and a tall window by the stairs that just let all the wonderful sunlight in! There's also a patio complete with chairs, very suitable for a family barbie or simply just a bunch of friends sampling wine (this is afterall wine country!) Did I mention there's a kitchen?! And a six seater dining table behind the hall. Cabinets are filled with basic cutlery and beverage-making facilities. Downside is that its a little far from the town and you'd need some kind of transport to get around. your own car or otherwise.

View of the vineyard and foot of the mountain.

Cranbrook Cottage: Romantic cottage

by danielinnz

Just a small cottage located about 100 metres from the owners own house but still very private. Fantastic breakfasts served on the verandah and close to many wineries and restaurants
