Picton, Gateway to the South Island

Closest accom to the Inter Island ferries and of the Atomic/Naked Bus stop.
I found them helpful and the place clean and warm.
Someone complained about 8 min showers, luxury I've been many places where 4 mins or longer is the whole day's allocation for washing, toilet and cleaning.

Unique Quality: It is right on the freight rail line but I think that adds to it's charm, this is not Central Station, the noise is not never ending.
It is the start/finish of the Tranzcoastal Rail to Christchurch. Take it, esp to see the seals along kms of coastline.
Right on the doorstep of the Queen Charlotte Sound, now that is a well kept secret, stunning.
