The beach at Golden Bay is scattered with shells and interesting twisted pieces of driftwood. It is a perfect beach for beachcombing or just taking a leisure walk along its pristine shore. When I was there it was cold and very few people were on the beach. I hope some day to visit again on a warm sunny day so I can walk barefoot on the sand and maybe even get my feet wet :)
Spent a while here, caught a bad cold from the air conditioning on the coach, had a few good nights out, got lots of free food from the hostel, got rid of some clothes in a charity shop and avoided buying anything else. Nelson's a good size, not too big and not too small.
