Best Luxury Hotel Near Nelson
This "lodge," as they call it, is one of the best high-end hotels I've ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are amazing, and the food and service are top notch. It is an actual working farm, so you can go out with the farmers and see the sheep, chickens, cows, etc. A real treat for a city girl like me! Also, all the wines served with the 5 course dinner every night are from the Nelson region, so it is as if you get a personal wine tasting of the region each night. The staff also set up numerous day trips for us such as heli-biking on Dunn mountain and white water rafting in Karamea (via helicopter from the hotel). This was an amazing experience and a great place to stay!
