The rooms were quite nice, large, bathroom large and clean
but we expereienced the most unfriendly and unattentive staff in a hotel on our three week trip through New Zealand!
When we arrived, the receptionist was not friendly, had a murderous look on her face,
in the evening at the prebooked dinner, staff went by ans by and never noticed any needs...
breakfast was booked in for 7.00 but there was nothing literally... and when I asked the lady at the restaurant desk, she didn't even say Good morniing or look at me, murmured something and disappeared..
then a waitress appeared and slammed one plate ( for 9 people) wih a little ham and cheese on out table and disappeared. when our tourguide appeared five minutes later and asked about the muffins... she received the answer:
well, we open at 7.30 and we just put them in the oven...
why do they accept breakfast for 7???
Hotel is nice, but quite a walk from the hub in the city
would never go there again!
This lovely hotel is very close to the centre of the city, has easy parking and they are very friendly.
Unique Quality: This hotel is adjacent to the city centre, but set in beautiful garden surroundings. It is not far from the Otago museum, Olveston Historic Home, Botanical gardens, the Art gallery, Moana Pool and the golf course.
Directions: along the main shopping centre
