Just a couple of miles from the centre of Wanaka, we spend the night at the Wanaka Motor Inn. The hotel has a friendly and cosy feel, all made from wood and natural stone, in some ways it reminds me of a skiing chalet. It is not a big place, only 32 rooms. The restaurant is very nice, good food and an excellent wine list.
This was a gorgeous studio apartment - set up on the hill overlooking the entire lake. It really was a spectaular view.
The aprtament was just one room with a bathroom and a kitchenette - everything you could need for a few days. It was also great value for money - not at all overpriced.
I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone visiting Lake Wanaka. They are just a short (10 min) walk to the centre of Lake Wanaka's village.
Te Wanaka was a lovely place to stay. The rooms where lovely and the breakfast was always a joy.Graeme and Andy Oxley ran the motel and they are very helpful
