Moeraki Beach Motel: Looks great!
I don't know why we did not stop in the Moeraki Beach Motel despite it was late in the afternoon and we were compleately soaked with rain and sand after visiting the boulders.
What I know is that it wasn't a good idea: despite the horrible weather, the Moeraki Beach Motel looked great with its huge windows facing the stormy sea.

Moeraki Motel: Moeraki Motel
This is the only motel in Moeraki. The unit we stayed in could sleep 5 people ( i double bed and 3 singles). The decor is very old fashion but it is clean. Its very close to the beach. The double room looked out to the sea so you got a great view in the morning.See picture attached.
I returned to Moeraki at the end of 2003 and stayed in the same motel. Nothing has changed but a new owner has bought the motel and has plans to do a lot of changes.
I stayed in Moeraki longer and got a chance to walk around. There's a few back packers and a Camping ground.
Nice and relaxing area
