Discovery Lodge Queenstown: Conveniently located and relatively cheap

Wasn't the best experience! First we were given a room at the very back of of the lodge on the top floor (3rd). The lift was not working so carrying our rather heavy bags was a chore. As we entered the room it smelt musty and the back windows couldn't be opened as there was construction going on. We asked for a room chage and were told that we had to be 'upgraded' (against our wishes and had to pay more) as there was no similar room available. Although the new room was in the front, it was near the main road and very noisey at night - there is a bar & night club downstairs. The next day when we came back in the evening (on a very rainy day), we noticed some water on the carpet. Thinking we had left the window open, we checked it and was closed. So I looked up and found that water was dripping from the water sprinkler on the roof. We had to move rooms again (luckily for the same price this time!) and finally had a "comfortable" nights sleep on the last day of our stay.
Central location Relatively cheap - accomodation in Queenstown is relatively expensive
