Reservations

Queenstown is probably the only city in NZ that I would make this suggestion: Make sure you have reservations here. We came quite close to sleeping in the car here...

We ended up staying in a cabin about 5 km's outside of town.... The room wasn't much but the view was sure nice, though...

Kawarau Falls Campground: Queenstown too packed???

This is a nice backpacker/campground just out of Queenstown. It's peaceful and right on the lake edge.

Unique Quality: because its just out of Queenstown there is often room there when Queenstown is pack. It's only a 10 minute drive into the town. Best if you have your own transport. The staff were great and place is clean, which is always a bonus.

Bungy Backpackers in...

Bungy Backpackers in Queenstown is definitely 'the' fun place to stay. There´s no better place around there to spend your days, may they be lazy and chilling or packed with fun and party.

Unique Quality: They offer free linen, a cool hangout place,
