Treble Cone is also reputated for off-piste skiing for advanced skiers and snowboarders. You will find here more advanced terrain for the off-piste powder skiing enjoyment. Just look at the snow/weather forcats for the next powder session.
Treble Cone offers one of the best freeriding terrain in the region for snowboarders. There are great natural half pipes on the upper mountain and a terrain park is built each year.
Lake Wanaka - morning
by imstress
We took a stroll early n the morning before we set off for Arrowtown.
The ducks are enjoying themselves in the warm sunshine. Fishes are swimming freely in the lake. The water is very clear and you could even see the corals and fishes.
From where we were standing, we could see some mountains with snow caps on. The water is very calm and very clear blue.
Yachts are seen parking by the lake.

"Wanaka and surroundings"
Wanaka is just about an hour north of Queenstown and is the gateway from the south to the west coast.
Dont miss out on many gorgeous walks around the lake, as well as all the activities that are usually cheaper than in Queenstown
In the winter time, Wanaka becomes a classic ski town with great fields just a short distance away
"Spring Time......"
....Lake Wanaka is not always nice and calm, when it gets windy, there can be some nice waves...
