The Ivon Wilson Park is a free entry attraaction located just opposite the Wildlife Park.
It is a short 10 mins walk from the Department of Conservation Visitor Centre (DOC).
This is a 13 hectare park with both introduced and native trees alongside Lake Henry and has awesome views of the mountains.
Horse drawn carriage
by grets
From the roads in Te Anau, it is easy just to hail one of these carriages, they just drive around touting for business.
Our carriage was 80 years old and driven by a young girl! David really hates horse carriages, so it was quite a struggle to get him in one.
Kepler Track

We chance upon one of the entrance to the famous Kepler Track at the access to the control gate.
Many cars were seen parking here. We seen a couple who is going to began trekking the Kepler Track and bringing their backpacks out from their car. A family were seen having picnic near the control gate.
This accees point is not too far from the dock bay and Luxmore Hut from here.
Trip into past lives

"Milford Sound results of glacier activity"
We arrived yesterday for our 1st B&B of this trip. Wrong name, wrong address... finally made contact with the Scott's and great folks they are. The weather failed to cooperate fully for our coach trip to Milford Sound the following day. Wonderful views until the cruise, which was conducted in a constant drizzle. The Captain tried his best to keep it upbeat, but I could only keep track of not so many waterfalls... Excellent movie once we returned to Te Anau. So good that we bought the DVD to show you when we return. Our B&B hosts, Sandy and Phil provided a delicious supper. Both the breakfasts were hardy and quite good. Plus, Sandy was too kind and did our laundry while we were cruising.
