Chill out at the mellow YHA Te Anau.
The Hostelling International (HI) Te Anau hostel is centrally located in the town with plenty of parking. When I walked in, the mellow, relaxed and homely atmosphere struck me right away. The facilities are spotlessly clean (except for the kitchen after thoughtless guests have used it) and the staff are nice and friendly. The dorms sleep 8, which is the only drawback. I think the European HI hostels are better because they usually only sleep 4 per room and it's less stuffy. Unlike European hostels, breakfast is not included, but a kitchen with plenty of plates and utensils is there for you to make your own food. Labels are available for you to label your provisions in the firdge or cubby holes.
Unique Quality: The atmosphere of this place is very cosy. The fire, comfy lounge and large outdoor patio with tables and chairs make it very relaxing and welcoming. The bathrooms were very clean.

Pick up and drop off service of Intercity & Newmans coach
I will be arriving South Island in the mid of April and taking Intercity & Newmans coach as my main transportation. I have made a booking in Christchurch YHA, Fancz Josef YHA, Queenstown YHA, Te Anau YHA & Dunedin YHA. can anyone tell me that whether the Intercity or Newmans coach can provide pick up & drop off service in these YHA ? Thank you very much.

If you have a flexi pass they won't pick you up or drop you off at your accomodation unless you have a friendly driver! I got dropped off in Franz Josef but its only a wee place anyway. I'd drop intercity or newmans an e-mail and ask them directly
