Haast World Heritage Hotel: Quiet Little Place

I understand that the hotel is now going through a major renovation. So my tip here may not be as relevant. But one thing remains, the central location makes it a relatively short tdrive to town for petrol and food.

Unique Quality: The shower was great! Those spa type where water comes spraying out from a few points. The other good thing is that you can just park your car outside your apartment. It was useful as I looked out of my ground-floor hotel indow to ensure that my green Mazda is still there!

Haast Beach Holiday Park: Good facilities

This is a very nice park, everything is well taken care of and the owners are very helpful. There's a wide range of accomodation.

Unique Quality: laundry, dryer, ironing and cooking facilities, tv lounge, bbq and playground.

Wilderness Backpackers: Wilderness Backpackers

Wilderness Backpackers is situated beside the supermarket in town.

Haast is a very isolated town and there is not much activity in this tiny town. But if you wish to see the nature this is a place to stay over for a night.

Wilderness occupies a very big land area. We only stop by and didnt stay over for the night.

Well.... at least it was dry inside.: Staying around Haast.

There are quite a few places to stay in Haast. Backpackers, Hotels, Motels, Tourist Flats and a Campground.

You can even rent a house - or if you know some one just turn up on the doorstep.
